We are excited to announce that International Capital and its partner, Capitaline, acquired 131 acres of prime farmland in January 2025, all cash, through a competitive auction in Henderson County, Illinois for a German Investor. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in expanding the company's asset offerings and aligns with its commitment to long-term value growth.
The acquired property offers strong potential for value appreciation with its location in the Midwest, the so called “Corn Belt”, located in the United States. The agricultural land will be leased for corn and soybean production, offering appreciation and semi-annual distributions. The land investment will be managed by International Capital and Capitaline.
International Capital and Capitaline conducted extensive due diligence by identifying and mitigating risks upfront which is a critical step in ensuring long-term success. Assessing the aspects of the farmland, from soil quality to legal and environmental factors, we ensure to achieve target returns while safeguarding that the investment aligns with our investment strategy.
By adding U.S. Farmland to our investment portfolio, International Capital is strategically diversifying its holdings with a new asset class that offers wealth preservation, stability and growth potential.
Farmland in the U.S. provides a unique opportunity to balance risk, as it tends to perform well even during periods of economic uncertainty, making it an effective hedge against market volatility and inflation. This asset class not only enhances the portfolio's diversification but also capitalizes on the increasing global demand for food, renewable resources, and sustainable agricultural practices.
